The Asus ROG Phone 6 will launch tonight and there is a possibility that we will also see a Pro model at the event. This will be the first time the company has added such a smartphone to the lineup. According to a tweet from insider Mukul Sharma, the device has been spotted on the list of Bluetooth certifications alongside the ROG Phone 6.
The SIG Bluetooth certification list shows the AI2201 model numbers listed under each model. The listing shows that the ROG Phone 6 was listed 4 times, while the ROG Phone 6 Pro was listed twice. This could mean that the company will release 2 variants for the Pro model. Also, it has been confirmed that all devices will be running Bluetooth 5.2 when they are released.
ROG Phone Pro specs are unknown at this time. And surprisingly, there were no phone updates from many of the country’s informants. All we can do now is wait until launch to find out more.
From what we know about the ROG Phone 6, the smartphone is expected to run the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and feature a 165Hz AMOLED display. Rumor has it that it comes with a large 5,850mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging out of the box. The ROG gaming smartphone may also come with a triple camera setup with a 64MP primary lens.
Will the Pro model come to India?
This would be the first time the company has released two separate models of its best-selling gaming smartphone. Previously, the company always followed up with an upgrade to the Model S with a slightly better chipset. But aside from the latest Bluetooth certification sightings, there are no additional reports that indicate the smartphone will make it to the Indian market.
If the company is planning to release two separate models at the same time, then it begs the question whether an S-series update would happen this year or not. Last year’s ROG Phone 5S still retails for Rs 50,000. The ROG Phone 6 is expected to be priced higher than that, and the Pro could be even more expensive.
